MPSGA Mission Statement:
The MPSGA’s mission is to be the best provider of fair and
competitive amateur golf tournaments for senior men.
Who is the MPSGA?
We are a non-profit, volunteer organization with over 40
years of history providing competitive amateur golf tournaments for Michigan
Seniors, men 50 and older.
We strive to provide good competition at many outstanding courses. Our purposes
are consistent with those of the USGA:
1. To provide competitive golf opportunities for the membership.
2. To increase knowledge and awareness of the rules and traditions of golf.
3. To promote those values of the game of golf which relate to good health,
friendship and fair play.
2021 Eligibility Requirements
You must be a male Michigan resident. You must have attained
the age of 50 before the first tournament in which you wish to participate. To
be a full member with GAM/USGA privileges, you must enter at least 4 of the 18

the year. The MPSGA is open to all public, private and university course

you do not have to enter your MPSGA tournament scores in GAM - we will do that
for you!) The GAM/USGA membership also allows MPSGA members with qualifying
handicaps to participate in the various GAM and USGA championships and events
throughout the year.
