Reams fires 5-under round to capture scratch honors and Phillips 11 under net wins handicap division in Metro's 2nd event held this past Saturday at Ottawa Park, results now posted.

Tony Reams, who tied for second in the windswept opener at Chippewa, toured Ottawa with a 5-under round of 64, that included 4 birdies, an eagle on #9 and 1 lone bogey. Terry Tyson and Jeff Godzak both shot 3-under 66's to tie for second. Tyson's round included an eagle on #4, 2 birdies and a bogey, while Godzak had 7 birdies, but he was undone with a double bogey on the short 13th hole. Brian Gerken, winner of the opener at Chippewa, finished 4th in a round that included 16 pars and 2 birdies for a 67.

Par took a beating in the net division as Brad Phillips, with nines of 38-35-73 was 11 under for a net 58, good for a 2 shot win over Doug Gust, who is recovering from a hand injury, yet was still able to roll in 4 birdies and shoot 2-under on the back nine for a net 60. Reams was third with a net 62 and Dan McCloskey was fourth with a net 63.
