Martin squeaks out another scratch victory, Conrad's strong back nine leads him to comfortable net win, Red Hawk results now posted.

Lynn Martin continued his strong play thus far this season, by firing a 2-under back nine for an even par 72 at the challenging Red Hawk Run Golf Course, which is his home course. He birdied 2 of the toughest holes on the back-#'s 12 and 15, which enabled him to capture his second straight single day event (Lenawee). Mike Kennedy had it going early and was 3-under thru 11, but his round was derailed by a double on the tough par 3 12th and a bogey on the par 5 13th. He did recover to finish 2nd with a fine 73. Tom Yeager, still a threat every time he tees it up, was in the hunt, but 3 3wacks (new word) on the back nine spoiled his bid, yet he did finish 3rd with a 74.
Scott Conrad birdied no's 14 and 17 in route to 1-under back nine 35, to go with his 41 front nine, good for a net 64, which was a comfortable 3 shots ahead of the nearest competition. Three players shot net 67's, including Lynn Martin, Bill Ernst and Brad Phillips. Ernst, fresh off his Spring Am net win, shot 36/39-75 and Brad Phillips off-set 3-triples with 4 birdies.
