Mike Kennedy (kindly referred to as Frack), who has played in the TMGA since the early 70's showed he's still got something left in the tank as he rode 4 birdies on the first 6 holes in route to a 2-under front nine and ended up with a 1-under 71. Kennedy finished 3 shots ahead of Brian Simmons, who has played well all season. Bogies on 3 of the last 4 holes off-set Simmon's 1-under front nine 35, along with his chance for scratch honors. Kennedy's regular playing partner, 2012 Toledo Am Champ Tom Yeager (Frick) finished tied for third with ageless Lynn Martin and Jeff Abke with 3-over 75's.
Dave Pierce shot a solid 39 on the front nine, birdied the par 5 10th, but then had to hold on as he tripled the nightmarish 12th hole and ended up with a 45 on the back nine, but his net 68 was good enough to tie Kennedy for net division honors (and will receive 1st place winnings). Terry Kohlenberg, survived an early quad on the 3rd hole and shot 45/43 netting 69 for third place, 1 shot ahead of Mike Smothers net 70.
