Tough pin placements and a stiff breeze made Ottawa a little tougher than normal, but last years Toledo Amateur Champ, Jeff Godzak, surged to victory with 4 back-nine birdies shooting nines of 38/32 for a 1-under score of 70. Godzak's 70 was good for a 1-stroke victory over Terry Tyson, who shot 35/36 for an even par 71, but bogies on 16 and 17 left him a shot short. The Metro's top player from last year Brian Gerken, and perennial top player Brian Simmons, tied for third with 1-over 72's.
Last years Net Division Player of the Year, Scott Conrad and long time and now former Metro Officer, Tom McMahon, both shot net 68's to tie for first in the net division. Conrad was even on the back nine while McMahon had nines of 40/38. Dave Mikolajczak, Fred Mann and Terry Kohlenberg all tied for third with net 69's. All results and prize winners are now posted.
