On a beautiful day for golf, Sandy Creek, with several tough pin placements, proved to be a stern test Sunday. Metro veterans Tom Yeager (37/39) and Terry Tyson (40/36) both carded 4-over 76's, while Scott Conrad finished a stroke back at 77. Tyson birdied the 17th hole, where the pin was located on the very front part of the green, while Yeager made bogey, after just missing birdie on the long par 4 16th hole. Both players pared the par 5 18th. They split 1st and second place prize money and POY points.
The net division also ended in a tie with Rikk Alessi and Mark Augustyniak both netting 2-under 70's. Augustyniak parred the last 7 holes. Chad King, Doug Gust and Scott Conrad tied for 3rd with 1-under 71's.
