Dudek hangs on to nip Tyson by a shot in Wolf Memorial scratch division, Pace charges to net win

After escaping Saturday with no rain at Monroe CC, the chances of playing the 2nd round of the Tom Wolf Memorial at Stone Ridge were highly unlikely with the ugly forecast. However, the Metro is tough, and after an 11/2 hour delay we teed off in British Open type weather, that went from not so bad to a bit brutal in the last hour or so. However, Frank Dudek, who entered Sunday's round with a 2 shot lead over Amenophis Evans, and 3-shots over Terry Tyson and Thomas Yeager, after firing 1-over 73 Saturday at Monroe CC, played just good enough to hold off Tyson. Dudek shot 4-over 76 in the unsavory conditions, but Tyson shot 74 to close the gap-both great scores in the conditions. Steve Pace also shot 74, to finish 3rd in scratch at 153 and Yeager was 4th at 155.  Pace's fine 74 Sunday, catapulted him to the top in the net division as he won by 5 shots with a 141 total. Tom Passero was 2nd at 146, followed by Scott Conrad at 148. Dave Spoerl, after shooting 75 Sunday, climbed to 4th, along with Steve Snyder, both with 149 net totals.

We did have an ACE sighting, as Brett Sayre holed a wedge on the par 3 16th!!!
