Mitchell Kontak on FIRE and birdies his way to Wolf Memorial Championship, Smothers, Van Wagner, Cantu and Huffman share net honors. 

The race for the TMGA Barry Latta player of the year award tightened up as Mitchell Kontak made 5 front-nine birdies Sunday at Stone Ridge Golf Course to turn at 4-under 32. 4 more back nine birdies gave Kontak a stunning round of 7-under 65 and a 2 day total of 142 (77 at Monroe CC on Saturday), good for a 3 shot win over Terry Tyson (73-72-145). Tom Yeager continued his season-long strong play, and finished third at 148 (76-72).  In the net division, Mike Smothers made up 12 shots on Andy Van Wagner and Felix Cantu, and 10 shots on Scott Huffman, as he netted 62 Sunday, and the four share 1st place with 142 net scores.
