Mitchell is back, fires 68 to win TMGA opener at Valleywood, Garcia Jr wins net division-Results posted.

Former BGSU golfer Mitchell Kontak took most of last year off from golf after joining the working world last year. However, he proved he still has game, after firing a 33-35 3-under 68 Sunday at Valleywood. He made 6 birdies and would have been even lower, but doubled the short par 3 17th. Tom Yeager proved he still has some game in the tank despite turning 50 recently. Tom made 5 birdies in his round of 35-36-even par 71 and finished second. Scott Conrad and Josh Weinstein shot 73's and tied for third.
Rick Garcia, Jr took advantage of his handicap by shooting 96 to net 67 to win the net division. His 67 bested Doug Gust (77 actual) and Scott Conrad (73 actual) by a shot. Steve Pace was next at net 69.
