Jordan Kelly opened with a 77 Saturday to trail 1st round leaders Tim Belden and Dave Ross by 2 shots. Despite making bogeys on the last 2 holes, his 4 birdies (3 on the back nine) gave him enough cushion to hold on for a 2 shot win over Jon Brimley with a 2 day total of 77-71-148. Brimley totaled 76-74-150, 2 shots better than Jeff Abke, Scott Bergman, Tim Belden and Brian Gerken. Belden appeared to be in control of the tournament after shooting 1-under on the opening nine, but a shaky back nine that included a triple on the tough par 3 11th hole let others into the hunt which Kelly capitalized on.
Fred Mann played solid golf all weekend, including an actual 75 Sunday to capture the net division with a 2 day total of 140. Gary Aldrich stormed back into contention with the day's low net round (65) to finish tied for 2nd at 142 with Robert Sheils who was very consistent shooting 80 both days. Robert used his magic weather powers to give us 2 beautiful days to play!!! 1st round net leader Dave Ross finished 4th with a 144 total.
