Tyson rides hot putter to victory by 1 over Kornowa and T.Graff follows his son's lead by winning net division at Lenawee CC last Saturday
Terry Tyson was on the disabled list earlier this spring, but showed no rust in his 1st Metro start this season as his putter carried him to a close victory over former Ohio Amateur and defending Toledo Amateur champion Kevin Kornowa. Tyson had a birdie and a bogey on each nine for an even par 71, just enough to hold off Kornowa's 2-under back nine and 72 total. Brian Gerken and Michael Dennis were 3-shots back with 74's. Tim Graff kept the net division title in the family as he followed-up his son's Ottawa victory with one of his own as he birdied 13 & 14 in route to his net 69. Tyson's net 71 was 2nd and Fred Mann, Mark Augustyniak and Doug Gust tied for 3rd with 73's.
