Yeager on FIRE, runs away with Wolf Memorial Fall Classic, Augustyniak cruises to net title--Results now posted

Tom Yeager caught the worst of the weather on Saturday @ HDCC and finished double-bogey, bogey in a driving rain for a 1-over 72 and trailed Metro Player of the Year points leader Kevin Kornowa by 4 shots heading into Sundays 2nd round at The Legacy after Kornowa shot a sparkling 3-under 68. Yeager carded a 3-under front 9 in breezy conditions Sunday at The Legacy and after 4-putting # 10 for a double, simply birdied the next 4-holes in route to a great 5-under 67 for a 36 hole total of 139. His round included 8 birdies!! Kornowa was not at his best Sunday, but still managed to finish second @ 144, and Jeff Godzak (who also caught the worst of the rain Sat) made it interesting with a 4-under front nine and shot 71 Sunday to finish 3rd @ 145.
Mark Augustyniak, still adjusting to his bionic hip, netted 66 Saturday after shooting 73 and did not have much trouble hanging onto his lead as he netted 138 for a 3-shot win over Gary Aldrich. Aldrich did have his chances to cut into the lead Sunday, but a few missed short putts didn't help. Jim Kennedy was 3rd @ 144.
